Like I said in the episode 1, ocean elements will be one of the biggest trend in the next spring/summer. Chanel showed us a surrealism dreamy ocean world, Alexander Mcqueen showed a classic sea goddess fantasy world. Alexander Mcqueen show used to be the most expected show during Paris Fashion week when Lee was alive, however, Sarah did a wonderful jobs under the big pressure. This show is absolutely the best one of her collections. Sarah doesn’t avoid Lee’s style, she turned Lee’s ” Savage Beauty” to “Goddess Beauty”, she gives a more calm, elegant elements and peace to this brand, although somehow it lacks of original savage feeling compare to before. This time she paid tribute to Madame gres ‘s haute couture, also she is one of my favorite designers whose collections have perfect Greek Sculpture style. Also, corals, the legends of Gaia, Gaudi’s art and sliver mermaid are the main inspirations of her. Amazing textiles, wonderful making details, I appreciate that Mcqueen team still continue creating dream for us.

The collections of “Madame Gres” in Paris, it was such a shame I missed this exhibition. She is a master designer, a ideal sculpture artist.
Coral inspired look. They are breath-taking.

Mermaid, Gaia goddess inspired details. some details reminds me Gaudi’s artistic building style.

Hardcore of Gaudi building, the right pictures by Klimt.
In Milan, Versace gave us a lovely sea world collection as well. no surrealism, no goddess, they are much more easier to mix match during summer. The shells, sea star, sea horse prints are tough sweet, sexy, youthful. You just could imagine wearing them to the beach or a party. Those sandal wedges are so cute. 🙂
