Black Space , White Stars.

Black white is the contrast of shades. Although many people think they are colors, actually they are the shades which present shadow and light.  Black and white could be nothing, could be anything as well, the combo of black and white is like a symbol, concentrates all the contrast elements as Yin and Yang in the Asian philosophy.  It always reflects many mysterious meanings and strong emotions, after all people’s feeling all come from these contrasts. Yet black and white also could be very classic. Perhaps it because of the old movies and graphics, or the unlimited possibilities of these two shades, They divide 2 parts in in the contemporary visual society, one presents nostalgia style, and the other presents avant garde. No matter which way, it leaves people a lot space of their imagination, in other words,it is immortal.

For me, Black and white builds the universe: The space is black, the planets are white; the creatures are black,the world is white. Simply I just need these two to create my worlds, it doesn’t matter to draw onto the black or white background.
